Rewind This! Goes to Yale University

Several months ago, we were elated to read that the Yale University Library acquired 2700 videotapes as part of a new preservation initiative. This is exactly the kind of effort we have been wishing for since we began production on our documentary several years ago. Since the news broke, we’ve been communicating with the team at Yale to arrange a screening and panel discussion on campus. That has finally come to fruition, and the entire Rewind This! production team will be visiting the University on Friday, October 16th to show the movie and talk about the importance of saving the cultural artifacts of our recent past. ¬†You can find more details about the event here. The event is free, so bring all your friends too!

The following day, the team will also be at Lyric Hall in New Haven for Magnetic Fest, a VHS swap meet and movie exhibition event. We’ll have a table set up to sell some of our own VHS tapes, along with posters from an art show we held when we first began work on the documentary. There will also be amazing screenings from our friends at Bleeding Skull, Vinegar Syndrome and Lunchmeat. You can find more¬†details here. Join us for a weekend of analog insanity in Connecticut!!!
